Not at all. There are no needles; the design transfers onto the surface of your skin with water.

Up to a week, depending on placement, skin type and care. Spots with less rubbing, like the upper arm, shoulder or back, usually last longest.

They're water-resistant, not waterproof. You can shower and swim with them on, but scrubbing, oils, lotions and long soaks in chlorine or salt water will fade them faster. Pat dry after washing.

Yes. Applying a few hours or a night ahead gives the design time to set, and it will still last up to a week.
